Interesting article in the WSJ from "The Numbers Guy" discussing lucky and superstitious numbers. I have always loved numbers, but I never thought about what's my favorite number. So I just gave it some quick thought and I came up with the number 8. I like the symmetrical shape of the number and also the number 8 was Cal Ripken's jersey number.
Let us switch from numbers to colors. When you hear someone ask a kid "what's your favorite..." the question many times ends with the word "color". When I was a kid my favorite color was Yellow. I had a hard time pronuncing my "Y" when I was little so I used to say "lellow". I have an afinity towards the color yellow since then. However, my favorite color now is Purple. I like how I look in purple ties and shirts, and it is also a little edgy.
